I will start with “Just my two seconds” about Georges Kern.
You might have heard / read about the fact that Georges quit his job as one of the big, big bosses of Richmont to become the new CEO of Breitling.
Have you ever asked yourself why someone is doing this?
Being one of the most powerful managers in the watch-industry, quitting this position to become the CEO of only one relatively small company / brand?

Starting today I want to introduce “Just my two seconds”.
Let me rephrase the expression “Just my two cents” …
You all know what “Just my two cents” means. But WatchAdvisor.com literally is all about seconds, the 86.400 seconds of each day.
“Just my two seconds” will be a micro audio-podcast delivering you even better information and more insides …
As many of you followers, watch-collectors and watch-aficionados look for analyses, answers, inside-knowledge, inside-views and strong opinions when something happens within the watch industry, when new products come to the market, when new technologies are introduced, when managers come and go, when companies are sold and bought, I want to give you the appropriate and correct information YOU are looking for here on WatchAdvisor.com.
Beyer Chronometrie in Zürich was founded in 1760.
Beyer Chronometrie is the oldest watch shop in Switzerland.
Beyer Chronometrie is currently managed by René Beyer, who represents the eighth generation of the Beyer family.
Beyer Chronometrie sells Rolex, Patek Philippe, A. Lange & Söhne, Breguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC, Hublot, Breitling, Cartier, Chopard, Baume & Mercier, Tudor and Jaquet Droz.
Beyer Chronometrie has specialised in the sale of antique and vintage watches since 1965.
This Breitling Chronoliner B04 chronograph vintage-style type in blue and not black (!) is a good example for a Breitling I would like to see more often in the future.
Do you agree if I write: We have recently seen to many all-black, martial, “military” watches from Breitling – too many watches for Special Forces & Co.
I think there is plenty of room for different colors / types, especial for more decent “lovelier” watches.
One simply needs to look back in the history of the brand and discover many fantastic and cool timepieces, that would perfectly fit into a new collection of Breitling …
Georges Kern, we are looking forward to discover your new ideas and watches.
I am sure you will not disappoint us!
Why 31? That´s the number I counted when finishing my choice and putting the story together.
Please do not expect a product listing of ticking superlatives here or a ranking of the most expensive / crazy watches.
What I will show you instead are watches that really impressed me – 31 in total. Either through their good and cool design, technical realization, impeccable quality and/or reasonable price.
The watch brands featured are:
Blancpain, Breguet, Breitling, Bulgari, Certina, Chanel, Chopard, Frédérique Constant, Glashütte Original, H. Moser & Cie., Hamilton, Harry Winston, Hermès, Hublot, Longines, Mido, Nomos, Omega, Patek Philippe, Porsche Design, Rado, Rolex, TAG Heuer, Tudor and Zenith.
