SIHH 2018: The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collection

The ‘Polaris’ dates to 1968. Already in 2008 Jaeger-LeCoultre presented a limited edition of 768 ‘Polaris’ watches to honor the ticking icon. The watch was called ‘Mémovox Tribute to Polaris’.

Ten years later Jaeger-LeCoultre now presents an entire collection called ‘Polaris’…

To honour Walter Lange, who passed away in January 2017, Saxon manufacturer A.Lange & Söhne will bring three gold versions of the A. Lange & Söhne ‘1815 Homage to Walter Lange’ to the markets.

145 watches in white gold, 90 in pink gold and 27 in yellow gold.

And there is one in steel! The 1815 ‘Homage to Walter Lange’ with a black enamel dial and a steel case will be produced only once. This makes it as unique as the man whose name it bears.

The 1815 ‘Homage to Walter Lange’ steel version with a black enamel dial will be auctioned off for a charitable purpose in 2018. Walter Lange, always noted for his philanthropy, would have approved.
