X-TREM-1 White Gold and Black PVD Titanium by Christophe Claret
The "X-TREM-1 White Gold and Black PVD Titanium" is a member of Christophe Claret's "X-TREM-1" range of watches. This timepiece is limited to 8 pieces. It features a openwork dial and is housed in a white gold and black pvd titanium case. This watch is a men's watch. The rectangular case is 46.4mm wide, 26.6mm long, 11.9mm high and waterproof up to 3 bar (approximately 30 m water depth). A transparent case back makes it possible to admire the movement.
The watch is driven by a hand-wound Christophe Claret FLY11 mechanical caliber offering a power reserve of 50 hours and indicators for hours (retrograde), minutes (retrograde) and seconds (off-centered). As regulating organ, the caliber has a flying tourbillon which causes the balance wheel and the escapement to rotate slowly. In the days of pocket watches, the tourbillon increased the accuracy of the watch by preventing the minute components from working in the same orientation for a prolonged period of time. Today, the mechanism mostly serves an aethetic and emotional purpose and is a testament of the manufacturer's watchmaking abilities.
The timepiece comes on a black alligator (rubberized) strap with a white gold and titanium folding clasp. Christophe Claret asks its official retailers to sell the watch at around 280'000 CHF. Use the "Contact Shop" button to ask an official watchmaker of your choice for their offer."
