Armin Tourbillon Gravity Water Steel by Armin Strom
The "Armin Tourbillon Gravity Water Steel" (st14-tw.m.50) is from Armin Strom's "Armin Tourbillon Gravity" collection. It features a openwork dial and is encased in a steel case. The watch is designed for men. The round case has a diameter of 43.4mm, a height of 13mm and is waterproofed up to approximately 50 meters water depth (5 bar). A transparent case back offers a view of the movement.
The watch is based on an automatically winding Armin Strom ATM13 mechanical caliber with a power reserve of 110 hours and indicators for hours, minutes and seconds (off-centered). As regulating organ, the movement uses a tourbillon which causes the balance wheel and the escapement to rotate slowly. In the days of pocket watches, the tourbillon increased the accuracy of the watch by preventing the minute components from working in the same orientation for a prolonged period of time. Today, the mechanism mostly serves an aethetic and emotional purpose and is a testament of the manufacturer's watchmaking abilities.
The case comes on a blue alligator leather strap with a steel pin buckle. This edition is limited to 50 pieces.
