Baselworld 2017: Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 Magic Gold

Only diamond is capable of machining Hublot’s 18-carat gold, certified by the Central Office for Precious Metals Control. It is the first scratch-resistant gold in the world and demonstrates a hardness of almost 1000 Vickers. Produced in the high-tech foundry at the Nyon Manufacture, this patented material was created by the revolutionary fusion of 24-carat gold and ceramic.

The Hublot HUB1201 calibre embedded in a 45 mm case offers two parallel barrels with a rack-driven power reserve indication system. The latter is sliding on a “9 o’clock” to “3 o’clock” axis made possible by a rack and pinion system, a double power reserve display, and a Meccano-inspired architecture. On the dial side, the Big Bang Meca-10 Magic Gold reveals the mechanics of the movement and the unusual architecture of its rack-driven 10-day power reserve. Its manually wound skeleton mechanism is showcasing the regulating organ at “7 o’clock” (21.600 A/h), paired with small seconds.

Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf – play golf and count your strokes

Hublot has designed, developed, manufactured and assembled a module to equip its UNICO chronograph-calibre, which has been specifically created for golf.

The MHUB1580 calibre allows golfers to calculate their score whilst on course.

Hublot’s mechanical golf watch features aperture displays and due to its Texalium (exclusive to Hublot that is an amalgamation of carbon fiber and aluminum) case the watch is ultra-lightweight.
