Richard Mille

WatchAdvisor.com is glad to introduce you a new series of articles aiming at improving your understanding and knowledge of the watch industry. Each week, we will have the pleasure to present in detail a brand and its collections, and in order for you to pick the watch of your dream, we will also provide a selection of our 10 favorite watches. This week, we cover a daring and visionary young brand – Richard Mille!

What does the Brand stand for?

Founded in Les Breuleux in 2001, Richard Mille is a young brand that did not wait to demonstrate its ambition. Instantly recognizable, RM’s timepieces are characterized by their iconic case shape and screws. Mainly drawing its inspiration from the world of car racing, the brand delivers three promises: precision, lightness and shock resistance.

Richard Mille’s timepieces possess an extreme design, in which every element has to serve a specific purpose. Daring and visionary, these watches are not for the quiet people. Made of materials commonly used in Formula 1 or surgery such as titanium and carbon, RM watches are not in line with traditional and classic Haute Horlogerie timepiece. However, this does not mean that they do not have to be considered as such. Indeed, Richard Mille possesses all the required watchmaking skills to compete and even to outperform most of the high-end brand of the industry.

If you are looking for a prestige brand, combining innovations and ambitious design, then Richard Mille is made for you!
