What does Jaeger-LeCoultre stand for?

Records are usually meant to be broken, but not those of Jaeger-LeCoultre. The brand looks upon a breathtaking collection of more than 1’200 mechanical movements and holds more than 400 patents! If you have the chance to visit its manufacture in Le Sentier, a powerhouse of Swiss watchmaking with dozens of different professions and cutting-edge technologies, you will browse through the incredible collections’ archives and admire the richness of the brand vision.

In 1946, JLC released the Atmos Clock, a fascinating timepiece of near-perpetual movement needing no human winding intervention. The brand not only mastered mechanical movements as they introduced a unique case design that would be later used in one of its iconic collection, the Reverso.

You are looking for Swiss watchmaking at its best, and if you do not want any compromises, Jaeger-LeCoultre is the right brand for you!

About the models

Reverso

The best inventions usually arise from challenges and the Reverso is the proof of this adage. In the early 30s, in India, the British army was looking for a watch that could be used during polo matches. Jaeger-LeCoultre, therefore, created an uncommon case in which the watch could swivel in order to protect its glass. Today, the Reverso is still one of the most emblematic models of the manufacture.

Rendez-Vous

The word Rendez-Vous evokes emotions, curiosity, and unforgettable memories. In this collection, beauty meets the art of watchmaking, and JLC offers a promise that something new and charming lies ahead of you.

Master

Mastering the manufacture of watches is a challenge that all brands are facing. However, we tend to forget that creating iconic models is really demanding. JLC has taken this very seriously, showing that no artificial, gemstones and glitters are needed for a watch to shine. Inspired by the ultra-plate watches created in 1907, the Master collection is the ultimate definition of a proper dress-watch.

Polaris

Inspired by the Memovox Polaris from 1968, Jaeger-LeCoultre brought back a forgotten icon, a respected timepiece admired by watch collectors. The Polaris has a stunning versatile design. Available in different variations, this model will surely adapt to every situation.

Geophysic

With the Geophysic, Jaeger-LeCoultre created a quiet unusual mechanical watch. Called the true second, this complication makes the second-hand jump at one beat per second, like quartz watches. JLC mastered this difficult mechanical aspect and proved their highly respected rank in the industry. The Geophysic is a timeless watch, that does not have any superficial attributes, because all their owners know that it is the inside that matter the most.

Duomètre

Sometimes, the best way to find solutions is to look at how Nature handles the problem; and so has JLC been inspired by birds. The Duomètre is regulated by two independent mechanisms enabling you to read the time, or other information, such as the Quantième Lunaire, and travel time, on two small sub-dials.

Atmos

The Atmos is a clock that instantly attracted the attention of every watch lovers. When the brand presented a clock winded by temperature’s changes, many believed that this was more likely to be a watchmaker joke. In reality, Jaeger LeCoultre mastered the law of physics and created a unique and mind-blowing timepiece. The Atmos invites you to understand that nothing is impossible.

Hybris Mechanica

JLC once again raised the bar and created the Hybris Mechanica, a collection which includes almost all the models created by the brand, but in a more complicated variation. All the Hybris Mechanica are manufactured in limited editions and represents the brand’s incredible accomplishment.
