What does the Brand stand for?

Founded in Rome in 1884 by a jeweler named Sotirios Voulgaris, Bulgari has become a symbol of Italian excellence. Over the years, the brand has gained incredible knowledge in almost all fields of luxury such as jewelry, watches, leather goods, and fragrances.

Bulgari really became famous between the 50s and 60s, when Hollywood actors decided to come to Cinecittà (the Italian Hollywood) in Rome, to act in some of the most famous romantic movies of all time. The Dolce Vita’s years as we can call them really empowered the brand to inscribe its name in the pantheon of the luxury industry.

What interests us, in particular, is the Bulgari’s subsidiary responsible for watches. Located in Neuchâtel, it enables the brand to develop its own calibers and to achieve a high level of manufacturing quality.
