What does the Brand stand for?

Audemars Piguet went through an exceptional evolution over the last few years. Throughout its history, the brand introduced a succession of landmark records and world first timepieces. The manufacture was indeed the first to present a mechanical winding wristwatch with a tourbillon, the smallest self-winding watch with perpetual calendar, and a dual time watch.

The DNA of Audemars Piguet can be expressed as the art of watchmaking, and even if its collections look futuristic, you can see that deep inside the watches, there is a reflection of the brand’s history and heritage. All the movements, cases, and bracelets are handcrafted to a level of excellence and finishing that only a few manufactures can attain.

Did you ever wonder what time travel looks like? With an Audemars Piguet, you might have a chance to find out.

About the Models

Royal Oak

Launched in the 70s during the quartz crisis, the Royal Oak is one of the moves that might have saved Audemars Piguet from going bankrupt, and since then, the brand has kept the Royal Oak in its catalog. An interesting fact about this collection is that the first prototypes were made of white gold since it was less expensive than using steel.

The myth behind the watch’s emblematic shape says that it took less than 24 hours to Gerald Genta to create this legendary design. What we know for sure is that the Royal Oak is one of the most iconic watches ever created.

In the recent years, Audemars Piguet extended the collection, by presenting the Royal Oak Offshore, a sportier alternative, and the Royal Oak Concept, a grand complication version.

Code 11.59

Launched in 2019, the Code 11.59 is the latest addition to Audemars Piguet’s catalog. Being for many the most ambitious release since the Royal Oak, the collection created mixed emotions on the internet. What can be said for sure is that the Code 11.59 has a classic design, enhanced by modern complex details, such an octagonal case and a new caliber. And who knows, this watch might be the first icon of the 2020s.

Jules

Named after one of the two founders, this collection truly represents the values of the brand. A classic watch which can be worn on many occasions, a timepiece that will never go out of style because of its timeless design. It is available as a complication or non-complication version and in various materials.

Millenary

With the Millenary, AP connects the art of watchmaking, heritage, and history to the modern style of watchmaking. Almost no other watch represents such a strong connection between these dimensions. The brand created a timeless model that still has the style to compete with any other modern watches. As well as for its other collections, Audemars Piguet offers different options regarding the material and functions of the Millenary watches.
