Behind The Scenes – IWC Schaffhausen
We just updated the IWC collection in our database. The caliber data needed some love and we wanted to integrate the new watches from SIHH … even though they may not be on the market yet. Enjoy!

For me it is time to look back, but I do also invite YOU to share YOUR thoughts with us.

Blue is the new black!
Something I am aware of since a while, as many of you for sure have noticed before, and something I personally very much like and support.
Still I believe there are too many black dials out there, to many black straps and even to many entire black watches.
Blue is THE elegant alternative, a color that fits perfectly with a sporty-elegant wrist-watch.Â
IWC was a pioneer selling watches with a blue dial. The Schaffhausen based manufacturer started doing this 50 years ago.
It was GĂĽnter BlĂĽmlein who brought back the trend “blue” in the 1990s. At the time being all IWC watches with a platinum case had a blue dial.
Today I can show two IWC Portugieser that have never before been manufactured before in the combination of a blue dial and a stainless-steel case.
Happy birthday Aquatimer!
Nomen est omen: The Aquatimer Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month Edition “50 Years Aquatimer” marks the 50th anniversary of Aquatimer diver’s watches at IWC Schaffhausen. Â
With its Aquatimer Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month Edition “50 Years Aquatimer” IWC is presenting its first Ceratanium cases. IWC says that Ceratanium is as light and unbreakable as titanium, but also as hard and scratch-resistant as ceramic.
The Aquatimer Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month Edition “50 Years Aquatimer” features a digital perpetual calendar and a chronograph-function.
The Aquatimer Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month Edition “50 Years Aquatimer” is limited to 50 pieces and will be sold only in IWC boutiques starting from September 2017 for 50.600 Euro including 20 % VAT or 50.000 CHF including 8 % VAT.
Beyer Chronometrie in ZĂĽrich was founded in 1760.Â

To celebrate the 35th birthday of the Aquatimer Ocean 2000, designed in 1982 by Ferdinand A. Porsche IWC launches a special limited edition with a thickness of just 14.5 millimetres. At the time being, with its avant-garde design, the Aquatimer Ocean 2000 extremely pressure-resistant diver’s watch was years ahead of its time.
That´s what I would call a remarkable watch. If meanwhile you got bored by all the issued “Mark” versions of IWC this new Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII Edition “Tribute to Mark XI” could be interesting for you.
The new Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII Edition “Tribute to Mark XI” (Ref. IW327007) incorporates aspects of the iconic design of the historic Mark 11 …
