My Top 10 Wristwatches 2017

The year 2017 is almost history… It´s time to present you my top 10 wristwatches.

Since it is not a ranking I will present you the watches in an alphabetical order.

And since it is my personal choice you must of course not agree with my choice. In this case PLEASE let us all know what your top 10 watches 2017 are. Use the comment section here underneath and start typing …

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ceramic

This is a full ceramic watch (case & bracelet), a ticking cult object in my eyes. The Royal Oak is sold for 91.800 Euro including 20 % VAT and almost impossible to get. Audemars Piguet is doing an excellent job these days!

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Automatic

The thinnest automatic wristwatch (height: 5,15 mm) on the market, full ceramic, good looking and cool. You may choose in-between two versions: one with with leather strap and one with ceramic bracelet. I prefer the full ceramic version, the latter is sold for 13.500 Euro including 20 % VAT.

Glashütte Original Senator Chronograph Panoramadatum Steel

A very sophisticated chronograph calibre embedded in a steel case, adorned with a cool dial. A kind of luxury and elegant SUV for the wrist … Sold for 13.200 including 20 % VAT.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Geographic

It is good to look in its archives … cool retro design made by Jaeger-LeCoultre. I love this unique in-house developed and manufactured world-time mechanism and if executed this way that’s just a must-have-watch. Sold for 9800 Euro including 20 % VAT.

Omega Speedmaster #Speedytuesday

That’s my personal hero 2017! Yes, I posses one! The 2012 pieces made were sold in only 4 hours, 15 minutes and 43 seconds online. A coup de main, ingenious marketing and on top a real cool watch. The Speedmaster was offered for 5400 Euro including 20 % VAT

Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Ref. 5320G

Such a gorgeous watch must have been criticized by the hardcore Patek Philippe collectors. They said: “How could Thierry Stern dare to do such a retro-watch? That’s not Patek Philippe!” Blablabla … they all ended up buying one. For me one of the coolest timepieces I have seen so far if you take everything under consideration: brand, make, price, calibre, rarity … Sold for 74.478 Euro including 20 % VAT.

Porsche Design Monobloc Actuator GMT Chronograph All Titanium

Design-Godfather Ferdinand Alexander Porsche would have been very proud to see such a chronograph. It is the perfect, contemporary interpretation of what he started doing with his first Porsche Design chronographs in the year 1972.

Rolex Sea-Dweller Ref. 126600

I don’t need to explain why the new Rolex Sea-Dweller is listed here. But you should have asked me many, many questions if it would not be mentioned … Sold (if you get one) for 10.400 Euro including 20 VAT

TAG Heuer Autavia

The rebirth of cool! Well done TAG Heuer! I hope the brands management team will continue to launch authentic interpretations of icons of the past. Sold for 4600 & 4750 Euro including 20 % VAT depending if strap or bracelet.

Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendrier 1942 Ref. 3110

The  40 mm Triple Calendrier watch was only presented recently and it conquered my heart in just milliseconds. What a stunning beautiful wristwatch! Incredible! This Vacheron Constantin is leading me to standing ovations! Sold for: 19.500 Euro including 20 % VAT.
