Hublot has designed, developed, manufactured and assembled a module to equip its UNICO chronograph-calibre, which has been specifically created for golf.

The MHUB1580 calibre allows golfers to calculate their score whilst on course.

Hublot’s mechanical golf watch features aperture displays and due to its Texalium (exclusive to Hublot that is an amalgamation of carbon fiber and aluminum) case the watch is ultra-lightweight.

When you read through the information about the new watch Hublot claims to "present the first mechanical golf watch with aperture display". This is not the first mechanical golf stroke counter for the wrist, but the first with an aperture display. Years ago Jaermann & Stübi presented such a watch. It also was a mechanical counter but the scores where displayed through the center hand on the inner and outer bezel.

The Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf now feautures a double digit counter in the center of the display and therefore plays in another league.

The Big Bang Unico Golf has the look of a chronograph and has been conceived as a chronograph. Its movement features return - to - zero heart piece cams that ensure the counting mechanism is robust and reliable. The putter-shaped pusher at "2 o´clock" activates the mechanism for displaying the number of strokes taken and counts the strokes per hole.

The pusher at "4 o´clock" allows the wearer to move on to the number of strokes played and is simultaneously updated.

The pusher at "8 o´clock" is shaped like a tee. This resets the mechanism and sets the counters to zero at the end of the round.

During the round, this button can be locked by rotating it by 45 degrees, thus ensuring that it is not inadvertently activated.

If you put a mechanical watch on your wrist while playing golf, most likely the watch get damage due to the impact of the hitting the golf ball, happen to many people I know, one got his Rolex damage and end up with high repair bill.

Professional golfer Bubba Watson using a Richard Mille watch that is design to golf, Bubba is of of the longest hitter of the ball on PGA tour and his swing speed at impact is 125 MPH.

if Hublot ambassador Dustin Johnson put a Hublot golf watch on his wrist with a driver in his hand, I strongly believe the watch will be send back to Lyon for repair. Furthermore, I think is unlikely Hublot has designed the watch for the impact of the golf ball, only Mr Guadalupe can answer this question.
