SIHH 2018: The Montblanc 1858 Collection

The Montblanc 1858 collection finds its inspiration in the world of mountain exploration. Reinterpreting the Minerva pocket watches and chronographs from the 1920s and 1930s, the new Montblanc 1858 timepieces capture the spirit of the past in a modern way, expressing the trend of back to nature and adventure.

Montblanc '1858 Chronograph Tachymeter Limited Edition 100'

The Montblanc ‘1858 Chronograph Tachymeter Limited Edition 100’ in a bronze case

This again is one of those chronographs where my eyes get really big, my mouth falls open, and I forget how to talk.

Crazy, but this chronograph should be worn the other way round, so one can always admire the beauty of the Montblanc / Minerva Manufacture Calibre MB M16.29.

The timepiece is limited to only 100 pieces and for what you get absolutely fair priced at 27.500 Euro including 19 % VAT.

Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH)

Another four brands join the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in 2018

Good news from Geneva! The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie continues to grow, while the number of exhibitors at Baselworld has been dramatically declining. The central aisles of the SIHH in Geneva are extended for the arrival of Hermès, while a bigger CarrĂ© des Horlogers makes room for DeWitt, ChronomĂ©trie Ferdinand Berthoud and Romain Gauthier.  Â
