A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar Handwerkskunst

Craftsmanship at its best

This is the first A. Lange & Söhne model to combine enamel art and engraving on its dial. Solid white gold is the substrate for the deep-blue enamel beneath which the sculpted contours of the relief-engraved stars appear to be a visual extension of the moon-phase display. The Arabic numerals are flush with the enamel and harmonise perfectly with the rhodiumed white-gold hands of the time and calendar indications as well as of the power-reserve indicator.

Frédérique Constant Slimline Moonphase Stars Manufacture

Frédérique Constant introduces a novelty that combines elegance and home made watchmaking technique.

The timepiece with a moonphase complication is available in either a rose gold-plated steel or plain steel 38.8mm case with 60 diamonds (0.5 cts) set around the bezel and with a see-through back case revealing the new FC-701 automatic in-house movement decorated with Perlage and Côtes de Genève.

A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Boutique Edition Dresden

With its hinged back the "1815" is a stunning beautiful hand wound wristwatch. Its owner may either enjoy the engraving of the famous Frauenkirche in Dresden or the exceptional A. Lange & Söhne Calibre L051.1 with 55 hours of power reserve. The engraving is done individually by hand, by the engravers of A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte.

The 38,5 mm / 8,8 mm "1815" are sold either in pink or in white gold in a series of 2 x 10 watches for 29.900 Euro including 19 % VAT each.

Zenith Defy Lab - how compliant mechanisms helped to design the new oscillator

In mechanical engineering, compliant mechanisms are flexible mechanisms that transfer an input force or displacement to another point through elastic body deformation. These may be monolithic (single-piece) or jointless structures.

Lean back and enjoy!

The Heuer Globetrotter exhibition - a sneak preview

A total 400 wrist- and pocket-watches will be exhibited simultaneously in ten countries with ten specific themes.

The event will be launched as part of an initiative to reinforce and showcase TAG Heuer's rich watchmaking history. Heritage has again become one of TAG Heuer's four pillars of communication, along with sport, lifestyle and art/music.

Talking to René Beyer of Beyer Chronometrie located at Bahnhofstrasse in Zürich

Beyer Chronometrie has been selling most of these above mentioned brands already for decades. Patek Philippe for instance for more than 165 years and Rolex for almost 100 years.

I personally know René for more than 20 years and I can tell you we both share the same enthusiasm and passion for watches. But it must tick to be real cool!
