This year Swatch Group did not attend Baselworld in March. Swatch Group for a good reason decided to leave the world watch & jewelry show and to create an own format how to present its novelties. In May I have been spending three days in Switzerland to discover the novelties of the major brands of Swatch Group. Among them of course Jaquet Droz!

Jaquet Droz Grand Seconde Skelet-One Ceramic
In 2019 the Jaquet droz Skelet-One returns with a new feature that gives it added modernity: a ceramic case. With a diameter of 41.5 mm, it’s in perfect harmony with the Grande Seconde Skelet-One’s open movement structure, featuring a black coating that intensifies its power and modern, masculine character. Its straight lines contrast with the ceramic case’s skillful finishing, with a satin-finished top just like its lugs. In contrast, its polished sides foster a play of light that is amplified by a double sapphire “glass box” on the top and bottom, offering the largest possible opening onto the skeleton movement. Some watches tell time. Some tell a story…
