Twenty-8-Eight Skeleton Tourbillon Rose Gold by DeWitt
The "Twenty-8-Eight Skeleton Tourbillon Rose Gold" (reference t8.th.008) is a member of DeWitt's "Twenty-8-Eight" collection. It features a skeletonized dial and is encased in a rose gold case. The watch is suitable for men. The round case is 43mm in diameter, 10.8mm thick and water tight up to approximately 30 meters water depth (3 bar). A transparent case back offers a view of the movement.
The hand-wound mechanical caliber is providing a power reserve of 72 hours and displays hours, minutes and seconds (off-centered). As regulating organ, the caliber makes use of a tourbillon which causes the balance wheel and the escapement to rotate slowly. In the days of pocket watches, the tourbillon increased the accuracy of the watch by preventing the minute components from working in the same orientation for a prolonged period of time. Today, the tourbillon mostly serves an aethetic and emotional purpose and is a testament of the manufacturer's watchmaking abilities.
The case is fitted with a brown alligator leather strap with a rose gold pin buckle. This timepiece is limited to 28 pieces.
