Tourbillon Vindex Platinum by Da Vindice Genève
The "Tourbillon Vindex Platinum" is a member of Da Vindice Genève's "Tourbillon" watch family. The Watch features a dial in silver guilloché with black outer circle and a platinum case. This piece is a men's watch. The Tonneau case has a width of 46mm, a length of 43mm, a thickness of 15.6mm and is water tight up to 3 bar (approximately 30 m water depth). A transparent case back makes it possible to watch the movement.
The watch's functions are provided by an automatically winding STT mechanical caliber offering a power reserve of 42 hours and displays for hours, minutes and seconds (off-centered). The calendar indicates the date. As regulating organ, the movement relies on a tourbillon which causes the balance wheel and the escapement to rotate slowly. In the days of pocket watches, the tourbillon increased the accuracy of the watch by preventing the minute components from working in the same orientation for a prolonged period of time. Today, the complication mostly serves an aethetic and emotional purpose and is a testament of the manufacturer's watchmaking abilities.
The watch is fitted with a black alligator leather strap with a platinum pin buckle.
