Tourbillon Clean Sweep Steel by Pierre Kunz
The "Tourbillon Clean Sweep Steel" is part of Pierre Kunz's watch range. It features a dial in black sunburst motif and a steel case. This rare timepiece is designed for men. The round case is 45mm in diameter, 13mm thick and waterproofed up to 3 bar (approximately 30 m water depth). A transparent case back makes it possible to watch the movement.
The hand-wound mechanical caliber is providing a power reserve of 48 hours and has indicators for hours, minutes and seconds (retrograde in 3 sectors). As regulating organ, the movement relies on a tourbillon which causes the balance wheel and the escapement to rotate slowly. In the days of pocket watches, the tourbillon increased the accuracy of the watch by preventing the minute components from working with or against the gravity for a prolonged period of time. Today, the tourbillon mostly serves an aethetic and emotional purpose and is a testament of the manufacturer's watchmaking abilities.
The piece is fitted with a black alligator leather strap. This watch is limited to 38 pieces.
