MasterGraff Minute Repeater Tourbillon White Gold by Graff
The "MasterGraff Minute Repeater Tourbillon White Gold" (reference 100) is a member of Graff's "MasterGraff" watch family. It features a dial in navy mother-of-pearl and is encased in a white gold case. This piece is a men's watch. The round case has a diameter of 47mm and is waterproof up to approximately 30 meters water depth (3 bar). A transparent case back offers a view of the movement.
The hand-wound mechanical caliber has a power reserve of 80 hours and displays hours, minutes and seconds (off-centered). As one of only very few timepieces, the piece also contains a minute repeater. As regulating organ, the movement makes use of a tourbillon which causes the balance wheel and the escapement to rotate slowly. In the days of pocket watches, the tourbillon increased the accuracy of the watch by preventing the minute components from working with or against the gravity for a prolonged period of time. Today, the mechanism mostly serves an aethetic and emotional purpose and is a testament of the manufacturer's watchmaking abilities.
The watch is worn with a black alligator leather strap with a white gold folding clasp.
