Armin Tourbillon Air Titanium by Armin Strom
The "Armin Tourbillon Air Titanium" (ref. ti13-ta.50) is part of Armin Strom's "Armin Tourbillon" range of watches. Production of the watch is limited to 50 pieces. It features a openwork dial and is housed in a titanium case. This watch was designed for men. The round case is 43.4mm in diameter, 13mm high and waterproof up to 5 bar (approximately 50 m water depth). The transparent case back offers a view of the movement.
The watch is driven by a hand-wound Armin Strom ATC11 mechanical movement offering a power reserve of 10 days and displays for hours (off-centered), minutes (off-centered) and seconds (off-centered). As regulating organ, the movement makes use of a tourbillon which causes the balance wheel and the escapement to rotate slowly. In the days of pocket watches, the tourbillon increased the accuracy of the watch by preventing the minute components from working with or against the gravity for a prolonged period of time. Today, the complication mostly serves an aethetic and emotional purpose and is a testament of the manufacturer's watchmaking abilities.
The watch is fitted with a white alligator leather strap with a titanium pin buckle. Armin Strom asks its official retailers to sell the watch at around 83'000 CHF. You can use the "Contact Shop" button to ask an official watchmaker of your choice for their offer."
