H. Moser & Cie.

WatchAdvisor.com is glad to introduce you a new series of articles aiming at improving your understanding and knowledge of the watch industry. Each week, we will have the pleasure to present in detail a brand and its collections, and in order for you to pick the watch of your dream, we will also provide a selection of our 10 favorite watches. This week, we cover a small brand possessing a bold and entrepreneurial spirit – H. Moser & Cie.!

What does the Brand stand for?

In 1828, Heinrich Moser founded a watch company in St Petersburg. Being born in Schaffhausen, Moser decided to come back to his native country in 1848, to develop his business. After its acquisition by the Meylan family in 2012, the manufacture made a comeback in the watchmaking industry. Being an independent and family-owned company, Moser & Cie stands out from the typical watch brands and has always been influenced by the entrepreneurial spirit of its founder. Its small annual production and mastery of the whole production process enable the brand to deliver ingenuine and innovative timepieces.

About the Models

Endeavour

With the Endeavour collection, Moser & Cie heeds to the codes and traditions of the watchmaking industry. These classic watches endowed with stunning mechanical complications and a traditional design form the core of the brand’s proposal. The perpetual calendar of this collection does not go unnoticed as it provides impressive readability for a complication of this kind.

Venturer

The Venturer collection adopts the classic design of traditional watches and combines it with subtle references to the past. For its latest models, Moser & Cie has chosen a very pure design. Without any indications of date, logo, and brand name, the brand focuses exclusively on conceiving a beautiful smoked dial.

Pioneer

The Pioneer watches are perfect daily timepieces. Water-resistant to 120 meters, they are characterized by a sporty design. Their modern and daring conception shapes the masculine aesthetic they want to confer.

Swiss Alp Watch

It is not a coincidence if the rectangular case of the Swiss Alp watches looks familiar as Moser & Cie was inspired by the design of modern smartwatches to create this collection. With a completely mechanical movement and an impressive power reserve of 100 hours, the Swiss Alp watch possesses the most precious application of all: the time.

Heritage

The Heritage collection honors Heinrich Moser’s legacy. Offering three different technical complications, namely a perpetual calendar, a perpetual moon, and a tourbillon, Moser & Cie is able to restore the roots of the brand, preserving its DNA while infusing modernity.
