Boucheron

When Frédéric Boucheron created the Maison in 1858, he asserted himself as a man with an enlightened and bold spirit; a visionary, in addition to his perfect expertise of the jeweler’s art. He was an adventurer who went straight to the foot of the mines to acquire the most beautiful stones, he was a pioneer of style and technique whose inventions were rapidly hailed at the Universal Exhibitions, he was a man in constant search of excellence and innovation. In search of an even more exclusive address, he moved to the Place Vendôme in 1893, becoming the first of the great contemporary jewelers to ever open a boutique there. Fascinated by light, he chose number 26 for its exceptional situation, where the sun’s rays shine on the stones from dawn till dusk. In tribute to the City of Lights, the Maison released a timepiece in 1947 that became one of Boucheron’s iconic creations: the Reflet, an elegant rectangular timepiece with distinctive gadroons to reflect light, and an ingenious invisible clasp. Thus, for 150 years, the Maison has always worked with the greatest artisans to craft the classics of tomorrow. Finest expression of elegance and creativity “à la française”, each collections draws from the history and the values of the Maison, celebrating a modern prowess that is constantly reinvented. Each piece is a collection of stories and emotions. They enrich themselves over the years with the generations of countless sparkling souls drawing the promise of eternal luxury. Everything in the Maison centers on a global message linked to joy, to happiness and the celebration of life: for the Boucheron family, life is festive. Frédéric Boucheron’s choice of the theme of 'Joyful Hours' in his vision of watchmaking perfectly represents this message. The Boucheron Moment celebrate the elegance of a moment and crystallizes an emotion. “A Boucheron creation tells a story, that of the Maison and your own.”
