Omega 'Railmaster' Co-Axial Master Chronometer

Omega 'Railmaster'

The first Omega 'Railmaster' was built for railway staff or anyone who worked close to electrical fields. Shielded by an inner protective case, the watch was able to resist magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss, guaranteeing reliable precision for the wearer. By comparison, most antimagnetic watches at that time offered protection at only around 60 gauss.

Talking to Raynald Aeschlimann, President & CEO, on the occasion of the opening of Omega´s newest factory

I can tell you Raynald was very proud yesterday!

“Alexander, of course I am, since we have created a truly innovative workspace, but the real value of this new building is efficiency. We have been able to now combine all of our assembly and testing processes under one roof. That means a complete consolidation of work that will help Omega to become much more productive and streamlined than ever before.”

Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf - play golf and count your strokes

When you read through the information about the new watch Hublot claims to "present the first mechanical golf watch with aperture display". This is not the first mechanical golf stroke counter for the wrist, but the first with an aperture display. Years ago Jaermann & Stübi presented such a watch. It also was a mechanical counter but the scores where displayed through the center hand on the inner and outer bezel.
