The 45,5 mm (height 15,6 mm) titanium case houses an ETA 7754 calibre with a GMT-function. A short personal remark at that point: That´s for sure not a bad choice, but please guys, technicians, engineers working for Porsche with your enormous brainpower you can do better than this! So we are in the near future now all waiting for your own Porsche-watch-engines.
Back to the watch: What you don’t see are push-pieces to start, stopp and reset the chronograph calibre. They are fully integrated in the titanium case at the right side as one big unit. To enable its function Porsche Design uses two rocker switches, to be precise two miniaturized rocker switches as they are used in a Porsche engine for the valve control. It is the first time that engineers from the engine development department in Weissach closely worked together with the Studio F. A. Porsche Design team in Zell am See in Austria and the watch developing team of Porsche Design Timepieces AG in Switzerland.
The up to 100 meters waterproof Porsche Design Monobloc Actuator 24h-Chronotimer is available i a titanium and a blackened titanium case with either a black or blue dial. You may choose in between a titanium bracelet or a rubber strap.
The chronograph will be sold in one of the 140 Porsche design stores or at authorized retailers either for 5950 Euro or 6450 Euro, staring from May 2017.
