Perfect Timing

TAG Heuer is expanding one of its most important collections with the introduction of the Carrera Chronograph Sport. Initially developed as a contemporary interpretation of the racing chronograph, the new Carrera Chronograph Sport builds on earlier TAG Heuer Carrera models “with a refined approach to proportions, improved ergonomics, and a stronger emphasis on the chronograph function.”

The new generation takes the foundations of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Sport introduced in 2020. The case, however, went from 44 mm to 42 mm, a reduction paired with a shorter lug-to-lug measurement, moving from 49.8 mm to 48.6 mm, resulting in improved proportions and wearability. The wristwatch’s profile has also been significantly reduced, from 15.48 mm to 14.17 mm.

In addition, the redesigned H-shaped steel bracelet comes with a taper and an easy link change system, allowing wearers to adjust the size without the need for tools, and the matching bezel inlay is made of ceramic. The new range also features a perforated leather strap version with a new pin buckle folding clasp.

The collection consists of five new models: The blue dial remains a key Carrera signature, offered on both steel bracelet (Ref. CDB2111.BA0054) and brown perforated leather strap (Ref. CDB2111.FC8378). It features a sunray brushed finish, silver counters, grey minute markings and chronograph hands, blue lacquer on the pushers, and a blue ceramic bezel.

The teal green version (Ref. CDB2112.BA0054) comes with green lacquer on the pushers, and a matching ceramic bezel. The silver “panda” version (Ref. CDB2113.BA0054) combines black counters with a silver dial, black lacquer on the pushers, grey accents, and a black ceramic bezel. The black opalin reference (CDB2110.BA005) features black counters and red chronograph details.

The flange has also been redesigned: On the black reference, this layout appears in a tone-on-tone execution. On the blue, teal green, and silver variations, the counters are contrasted against the dial.

Movement is the in-house Cal. TH20-00 with 80-hour power reserve.

Retail prices start at CHF 6,000 (on leather), the bracelet options are CHF 6,200 ($6,850).
