Summer Time

By: Roger Ruegger

Summer traditionally holds a special place in Hublot’s product development department. For 2026, the team went with vibrant ceramic versions mixing  “sun-washed colors that hit different.”

Mint, Pink, Sky Blue

First, there are two Big Bang Summer models with the same pastel composition of mint, pink and sky blue ceramic components: The Unico flyback chronograph in 42 mm (Ref. 441.ERG.6610.RX), and the manufacture automatic tourbillon in 44 mm (Ref. 429.ERG.6610.RX). The tourbillon (not shown here) is limited to 10 pieces, the chronograph to 200, both are fitted with interchangeable straps in sky blue, mint green and pink, all white-lined rubber, using a titanium deployant buckle clasp and easily changeable thanks to Hublot’s One-Click system.

While the chronograph offers a water resistance of 100 m, the tourbillon version is rated to 30 m. Inside, the HUB6035 as well as the chronograph’s HUB1280 Unico movement offer a power reserve of 72 hours each, retail is $34,300 and $119,000 for the tourbillon.

Hublot's HUB1280 flyback chronograph movement consists of 354 parts and features a double clutch system and column wheel and offers a power reserve of 72 hours.

Since its introduction in 2010, the Unico flyback chronograph caliber has been continuously improved (reworked components, optimized architecture and refined proportions). It now integrates five patented mechanisms, including dual oscillating clutches, a constant-pressure minute counter system, a zero-friction ratchet blocker and a fine balance wheel adjustment system for “smoother engagement, enhanced accuracy and mechanical efficiency”.

The 42-mm Unico Flyback chronograph, produced in a limited edition of 200 pieces, features a case in microblasted and polished pink and mint green ceramic, framed by a sky-blue ceramic bezel and matching sky-blue case-back. The dial features matte pink and mint tones.

Mint, Peach, Petrol Blue

Hublot also introduces three 33-mm monochrome ceramic versions in peach (Ref. 485.CUP.5920.RX), mint (Ref. 485.GS.5271.RX) and petrol blue (Ref. 485.ES.5171.RX), retailing for $15,500 each. Powered by a Sellita-based three-hand automatic movement with 40 hours of power reserve (HUB1120), these versions come with matching rubber straps with folding clasp.

For the first time in the history of the Big Bang, the 33-mm version is offered without diamonds.

Peach

Lastly, there is a new variant of the 42-mm Big Bang Titanium (Ref. 441.NCU.5920.RX), combining a titanium case (also with 100 m water resistance), with peach-colored elements on the bezel, the skeletonized dial, hands and rubber strap. This version retails for $24,000 and is powered by the HUB1280 chronograph movement (like the 441.ERG.6610.RX).

The peach version is unlimitied and combines a titanium case with ceramic elements.

The Big Bang Summer editions and the Big Bang ceramic editions are available at selected points of sale as well as online and come with Hublot’s 5+5 warranty, extending international coverage up to ten years.
